Infirmary Renovation at James Camp Prison Begins

On April 16, 2024, despite the rainy weather, the Rotary Club of Accra-South took an important step forward at James Camp Prison in Accra. The club started the renovation of the prison’s infirmary, aiming to upgrade it to a health center standard.

James Camp Prison functions as a skills acquisition center, preparing inmates with skills in tailoring, farming, and fishing as they near the end of their sentences. This effort helps them reintegrate into society more effectively.

The project to renovate the infirmary aligns with the Rotary Club’s focus on disease prevention and health care. Enhancing the medical facilities ensures that inmates have access to better health services, crucial for their rehabilitation and overall well-being.

The ceremony, held during a light rain, marked the beginning of much-needed improvements. This upgrade will provide better medical care for the inmates and shows the Rotary Club’s commitment to positively impacting the community.

Keep an eye on our blog for more updates on this project as we work to improve health facilities and support the inmates at James Camp Prison.
